Project 365 is intended to be a complete and accurate record of one families efforts to establish and maintain a small family garden while keeping up with the demands of maintaining a house and a vehicle in these financially troubled times. This project will last one year and will include a record of money spent and hours worked as well as a record of the amount of food harvested. Visitors to this site will be provided with a way to contact us to ask questions or to give advice. Photographs of works in progress will be posted on a regular basis. If the expense does not prohibit it, we will also install a web camera so that visitors can check on the progress of the garden. This site will constantly add new articles explaining what is going on and what is being planned. Barring some disaster, a section on food preservation will be included on this site. This site will not be composed of information taken from other sources. All information presented on this site will be the result of actual undertakings and experiences in and around the garden. All activites will be recorded regardless of whether or not they were good ideas or bad ideas. You can play an important part in this project by offering advice or suggestions on how to improve on a given situation. Please keep in mind that this is a real undertaking, and not a commercial how to do it project.
This overview will also include the day to day happenings around our little neck of the woods, including home repairs and recreational activities. This site is uptated frequently so don't forget to check back often.
We will explain what we are doing in detail for those of you who are thinking about planting your own garden, but don't know where to start.
